SVH on Phoenix TV Tonight!

SVH will be one of the featured guests on AZTV's Indie Music Phoenix on Thursday June 17th. The show will feature segments from the Property Six show and book signing event that took place at Chaser's in Scottsdale May 8th, as well as some additional footage of SVH discussing his letter to God and it's significance in landing him a place in Brian "HEAD" Welch's new band.
Arizona residents can see it on AZTV (13 on Cox Cable) and the show will then be posted on indiemusicphoenix.com in the next few days.
Ex-KORN Guitarist Taps SCOTT VON HELDT For Touring Band

Scott Von Heldt (HEALER, KURAI) has been chosen to play guitar in ex-KORN guitarist Brian "Head" Welch's new band.
Commented Scott: "I want to thank you ALL for your prayers and support over the years and this will surely be a huge step in spreading a spiritual vibe with metal music!"
Welch's touring band will consist of the following musicians:
Scott Von Heldt (HEALER, KURAI) - Guitar
Ralph Patlan (Tempe, Arizona) - Guitar
Michael Valentine (Huntington, Virginia) - Bass
Dan Johnson (Fairfax, Virginia) - Drums
[to be announced] - Keyboards/Programming
A U.S. trek is tentatively scheduled to kick off late spring.
Welch's solo album, "Save Me From Myself", sold 7,800 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 63 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was released on September 9 through Driven Music Group (distribution by Ryko/Warner Music Group), the label Welch co-founded with music execs Greg Shanaberger and Mark Nawara.
"Save Me From Myself" was produced by Head, who recorded the music off and on for the past two years in Phoenix, Arizona. It features renowned musicians Tony Levin (PETER GABRIEL, DAVID BOWIE) and Josh Freese (A PERFECT CIRCLE, NINE INCH NAILS), and was mixed by Ralph Patlan and Bob Clearmountain. It's a testimony of Head's life as he battled with drug addiction and leaving KORN, and finding spirituality.

This very rare acoustic solo performance includes a few tracks from SVH's upcoming solo release The Sonic Velocity Of Harmony, as well as songs from Healer and a few amazing covers of Tool, Korn and more!

Healer front man Scott Von Heldt has posted rare footage on his new Mind Over Metal social network site of the on-off Iron Maiden tribute gig IVAN MAIDEN that took place on March 25th of 2005 . The band featured Original White Zombie drummer Ivan de Prume and guitarist Tom 5, along with Healer vocalist Scott Von Heldt, bassist Scott Renner, and guitarist Brian Butler. The guys performed the entire self-titled 1978 album Iron Maiden. the full concert can be streamed here:

The site, which is moderated by SVH himself, is intended as a space where seekers of truth and those who's music and artistry is aimed towards pure self expression can come together and share thoughts, philosophies and secrets with the Mind Over Metal Community.

HEALER and MINARIK GUITARS invade You Tube!

Scott Von Heldt and Ivan de Prume recently teamed up with Minarik Guitars to record a string of product demos and the final cuts have now been added to the infamous You Tube! As previously reported by Healerband.com, guitarist/vocalist SVH is endorsing Minarik Guitars and will be doing several projects and appearances to promote his choice instruments throughout the year.
The videos give a brief yet concise overview of the Minarik Lotus, the USA Diablo Egyptian and the one of a kind Inferno 9 String guitars, offering a visual an audio sampling of the vast array of tonality and the exquisite detail of these finely crafted instruments. The site also contains a pseudo live version of the track Skin from the bands debut CD "Awakening".

Healer would like to acknowledge the passing of two of Metal's most legendary men "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott (Pantera/Damageplan) and Chuck Schuldiner (Death). HEALER vocalist/guitarist Scott Von Heldt issued the following statement today:
"December will no longer just be about Christmas to me, but a time to celebrate the lives and works of two of my biggest influences "Dimebag" Darrell (Pantera/Damageplan) and Chuck Schuldiner (Death) both of which we have lost. Chuck lost his battle with cancer 4 years ago today and nobody can forget the senseless shit that happened in my home state last year on Dec. 8th when Darrell was murdered! Both men exuded greatness in their artestry and a pure connection with the people they loved to make their music for...the fans! I will NEVER forget the gifts that these guys gave to us through their raw talent and pure delivery of honest emotion. GOD BLESS YOU MY BROTHERS!"

Healer would like to thank all of you that participated in Hurricane Relief through CD Baby.com. The program was amazing! Here are the stats as posted by CD Baby:
"The Red Cross charity promotion we did after Hurricane Katrina finished recently, raising a total of $165,060 paid directly to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund through our local Portland Oregon branch. (You should have seen their faces when we brought in that very first check, in person, for $113,000!)
We donated $40,000 of our own CD Baby money too, in case you were wondering. So - altogether, that's $165,060 from the artists, $40,000 from CD Baby = $205,060 donated. I hope it helps!"
